WHEAT GLUTEN 500g - EL GRANERO INTEGRAL
Gluten is a protein derived from wheat flour by washing the starch. Cooked gluten acquires a firm and takes a little taste of the broth it is cooked. This property makes it appreciated as a meat substitute in vegetarian cooking for their protein content.
DIRECTIONS TO DEVELOP Seitan:
Gluten put in a bowl and pour water slowly, knead for a couple of minutes. When the texture is homogeneous, into a ball and divide it into three or four parts. Cook in water or vegetable broth with soy sauce and a strip of kombu seaweed for 20 to 45 minutes, depending on desired consistency.
