DO YOU KNOW THE APITHERAPY?

 

It is the Alternative Medicine that uses all beehive products such as honey, pollen, royal jelly, propolis, apitoxin or bee venom and drone larvae, to improve health and treatment of  diseases besides of course for a good  balanced nutrition.
In my practice besides recommending the intake and application of the beehive products mentioned above I directly and mainly use bee sting on  points and meridians of acupuncture , this technique called Apipuntura.


 
  
MORE INFORMATION ABOUT APITHERAPY

Bee venom or apitoxin is a set of very active biological substances and brittle when exposed to light and oxygen of the air. Once the Apitoxin is extracted from the bee venom gland, it remains active for a short time, although it is chemically stabilized. This forces the apitherapeutist to employ live bee in topical applications in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, scleroderma, and other diseases. The use of live bees has advantages and disadvantages:


- ADVANTAGES: The bee provides a micro sterile needle (stinger) and exact biological dosing pump (venom gland).


- DISAVANTAGES: Bees are not always available in urban areas and in addition some patients are afraid of being stung by a bee, due to previous accidental bites, very painful by large dose inoculated.

 

 

 

BEE VENOM HYPERSENSITIVITY

 2% of the world population is hypersensitive to bee venom, in other words, with only one application they could develop anaphylactic shock, which can threaten patient life to the patient, if not treated at time with antidote.

Therefore, before starting a treatment, the patient must undergo a Test of tolerance, especially those people who have never been stung by a bee. Normal symptoms that appear during the early applications are: erythema and edema in the treated area that disappears within 30 minutes. Each person reacts differently, some can develop a larger secondary edema hours later, accompanied by erythema and itching, which can be up to 8 or 24 hrs. and disappear after 2 to 3 days.

 



CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF BEE VENOM


Bee venom is a clear liquid, acid reaction. It contains 88% of water, proteins, peptides, amines, amino acids and volatile compounds. The therapeutic active substances are enzymes (proteins and peptides).

 

 

THERAPEUTIC ACTION OF BEE VENOM

The therapeutic action of bee venom is : analgesic, anti-inflammatory and modulating the immune response.

The Apamin, molecular low weight peptide, works by blocking Ca + + channels responsible for repolarization of conductive membranes in neurons. It corresponds to the analgesic action of the poison.

The 401 Peptide,  molecular weight peptide, inhibits the conversion of arachidonic acid into prostaglandin in the path of cyclo-oxygenases, causing a great effect in reducing pain and inflammation.

Melittin, molecular low weight protein, elevated levels of cortisol in the blood contribute to inflammatory processes. Modulates the production of interleukins I and II of T lymphocytes in autoimmune processes.


The Hialorunidasa, average molecular weight protein is the enzyme which hydrolyzes hyaluronic acid, a polysaccharide that binds subcutaneous cells, allowing other components of the venom through the tissues.

 

 

 

AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES

There are more than 30 autoimmune diseases currently discovered. An autoimmune disease in simple words, is a wrong reaction of our immune defense system against our own tissues or organs. For example, in rheumatoid arthritis, white blood cells are mistakenly destroying  joints  in a progressive and permanent manner.

BEE VENOM - APITOXIN.

 
It improves the powerful mind-body relationship  by mind incidence in our health.
The brain can achieve with the help and encouragement of apitoxin an ageless body and timeless mind.
The venom has several key actions.  They highlight by international work experience and are the following:
By action of the fractions: Fraction Peptide 401 - Fraction Adolapin that inhibits the action of cyclooxygenase and prostaglandin biosynthesis. Apamin fraction that inhibits serotonin. The apamin and melittin stimulate the pituitary and adrenal elevating cortisol endogenous levels.

 

Analgesic.
This action manifests by polipéctide Adolopin Fraction 11,500 MW which inhibits cyclooxygenase enzime and prostaglandin synthesis productor of pain that at the same time are linked to inflammations. Adolapin fraction stimulates the release of endorphins, super endogenous analgesic.


Vasomotor.
The poison acts with its biologically active chemical components as melittin on the arterial walls and the substances that eliminate tissues such as histamine, improving microcirculation in capillaries and general blood circulation in Apitoxin treatments.
It stimulates the immune system, which is manifested in the formation of multinucleated cells, monocytes, macrophages, T and B lymphocytes Immunoglobulins and cortisol.
According to scientific papers published by Orlov and collaborator (1987) it markedly increases the formation of the constituents of the blood. It is, rather an anti-anaemic Melittin, PLA2 and histamine. It is used in patients with hypertension and cerebral arteriosclerosis general.
It prevents the blood from clotting by the action of melittin as a preventive treatment  from prethrombotic states and to treat patients with arteriosclerosis and thrombosis.


Platelet aggregating.
By administering the apitoxin, their components act on preventing platelet clumping of blood platelets.
Inhibits the growth of bacteria, fungi and viruses by the action of phospholipase A2, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of the lipids containing the virus inactivating them.

 

Antitumor.

It involves the action of the Phospholipase A2 (PLA2) Phospholipase B (PLB) or Lysophospholipase and Melittin and a byproduct of PLA2 that act on cell membranes, the isofosfatidilcolina (Lisolesitina).

 
Hypotensive.
Bee venom produces hypotension and dilate cerebral vessels by the action of Phospholipase A2 as Melittin act on the phospholipid bilayer destroying cell menbrane of tumors and destroys membranes fatty acids. The Phospholipase B fraction decreases the amount of lysolecithin, favoring the action of phospholipase A2.
Tumor cells are rich in glycerolipids and therefore have lost the ability to block the lytic action of destroying ending Apitoxin neoplacic cells.
They are responsible for this action Cardiopep fraction in decreasing cardiovascular arrhythmia, extrasystoles and paroxysmal tachycardia. The Melittin and other peptides provide
myocardial cardioestimulating and a powerful antiarrhythmic action.

 

Cardiotonic.
By the Fraction cardiopep, the myocardial rate and force increase, aortic blood flow increases and right ventricular contraction without altering blood pressure and central venous pressure.
Cardiopep Fraction has a beta-adrenergic action where  force and heart rate increased is not related to vasodilation or vasoconstriction.
Melittin and other venom peptides have similar cardioprotective and cardiostimulatory effects being antioxidants at heart level. It stimulates the hypothalamus, pituitary and adrenal gland producing corticosteroids by a neuro hormonal reflection.
It is absolutely contraindicated to apply bee venom or poison of these in the following cases.
It retards aging, restores physical and mental vitality through a high antioxidant power. It strengthens the heart and keeps circulation active.

 

 

 

 APITOXIN ACTIONS

 

The venom has several key actions,  they stand out by international works and experience the following  ones:

Fibrinolytic.

They are responsible of this action the Cardiopep fraction in the cardiovascular system decreasing arrhythmia, extrasystoles and paroxysmal tachycardia. The Melittin and other peptides provide a powerful infarction and cardioestimulative antiarrhythmic action.

- Hypersensitivity (allergy to poison).

- Diabetes. (insulin-dependent).

- Acute infectious diseases.

- Tuberculosis.

- Albuminuries.

- Psychic diseases.

- Diseases of the liver and adrenal glands in the phase of exacerbation.

- Nephritis.

- Syphilis.

- Gonorrhea.

- Anaemia.

- Hematologic disorders with a tendency to anemia or hemorrhages.

- Gastric and duodenal ulcer with hemorrhages tendency.

- Neoplasms (malignant tumors) with metastases.

- Recent menstrual period.

- Pregnancy (first months).

- Heart disease: chronic cardiovascular illnesses, aortic aneurysm, angina, artherosclerosis, myocarditis.

- Heart Failure.

- High temperature.

- Emotional stress.

- Asthenia by insomnia.

- Cardiorenal failure.
